Enchanted Diamonds 100 Cut Score Diamond

Q:

Hi Liz,

I clicked into your website by accident but was excited to find so much helpful information and tips of purchase diamonds. I hope you can help me to make a decision on what I’ve been looking for in the last few months. I’m looking to purchase a diamond in a budget around $10K – $12K and above 1.75 carats. I’m not too sensitive to color so I’m fine with I color ( I have a 1.50ct J color for my pendant, since it’s cut beautifully I don’t see the yellowish tone unless looking at the side of the stone).

I found this diamond online and want to see if you would recommend it: https://www.ritani.com/diamonds/round-diamond-1-81-Carat-I-color-GIA-certified/D-521Q5P

Is the diamond considered eye clean? Does the medium blue fluorescent have a negative impact to the stone?

I also saw another one that’s a bit over my budget:

Which diamond delivers a better value? What significance is the Enchanted Diamonds 100 cut score? Do you recommend any other stones outside of these two?

I really appreciate your time and assistance in helping me on this decision.

Thanks!

Katie

Hello Katie,

I much prefer the 1.85ct I VS2 from Enchanted Diamonds: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Round/GIA-Certified-1-85-Carat-I-Color-VS2-Clarity-Diamond-218358526

I did a search for you and found the same stone from Zoara for $11,988.00: http://www.zoara.com/diamonds/p_round_excellent_cut_i_vs2#?p=7681758

This diamond is an ideal cut diamond with gorgeous optical symmetry and beautiful light reflection. The diamond is perfectly eye-clean and has no blue fluorescence.

The Enchanted Diamonds 1oo cut score is used to make diamond shopping easier for the layman. A score of ‘100’ is generally accurate. I’ve not see any poorly cut stones in this category. Their cut score uses the proportions of the diamond found on their grading report. It is similar to the HCA tool; which in essence is a mathematical algorithm.

Please let me know what you think and if you have any questions!

Kind Regards,

Liz

Hi Liz,

I was about to purchase, however… once I placed it in cart and noticed sales tax was added, the total price came to over $13,000…hmmm… I’m not sure if I’m going to get it as it’s over my budget. I checked many websites and found sales tax is always applied to New York sales.

Although I understand a good quality diamond always comes with a higher price tag, I think I may have to select one within my budget as I will also need to get a setting for the diamond.

Considering sales tax will be added to the price of the diamond, I guess I need to look for something around $11k. What do you think about the other diamond I saw on Ritani website? Or any other recommendations?

Thanks for your help!

Katie

Hi Katie,

Enchanted Diamonds 100 Cut score Diamond

1.73ct I VS2 from Enchanted Diamonds

I recommend this 1.73ct I VS2 for $10,650.00: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/R173-3914Z5030

This diamond is perfectly eye-clean and also shows ideal light performance. It is slightly smaller than the 1.85ct but only by .1mm! So, not discernible size difference but a welcome price difference. 😉

This Enchanted Diamonds 100 cut score diamond is a great choice. For more information on cut score from Enchanted Diamonds, please see here: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/cut-score

Kind Regards,
