Hi Liz,

First off, you put together an amazing and very helpful website. I’ve gone through most of your diamond guides and was hoping you could help me either narrow down my list below or help me find the best option in my price range.

After reading your diamond guides, this is what I’m targeting:

– Budget: ~$30,000
– Shape: Round diamond solitaire
– Color: H or better
– Clarity: VS2 or better preferred, hoping it is eye clean
– Cut: excellent or better
– Carat: 2.1-2.5

First of all, Whiteflash is an impeccable retailer and has the largest selection of high performance H&A diamonds than any other online retailer.  Their diamonds are all cut consistently well making it very easy to trust their A Cut Above brand. The 2.35ct H VS2 has gorgeous optical symmetry (H&A) contrast pattern and incredible brilliance and scintillation. As a VS2 this diamond is very clean with grade making inclusion of small clouds followed by infinitesimal scattered crystals. The other diamonds (outside of the 2nd Whiteflash selection) are not cut to the same high performance standards as a super ideal cut H&A diamond. As all these diamonds are roughly in the same budget ballpark, the selection of the 2.35ct H VS2 is a no brainer – go for the creme de la creme! 😉
