Searching For Diamond To Set In Tacori Engagement Ring

Q:

Tacori Engagement Ring Petite Crescent

Petite Crescent Scalloped Millgrain Diamond Engagement Ring from Whiteflash.com

Hello Liz,

I’m interested in getting your opinion on a diamond from Whiteflash. I’d also like to get your opinion if it would be a good fit for a Tacori engagement ring setting that I also found on Whiteflash. I think it is part of the Classic Crescent collection.

The ring setting has small diamonds that are G in color while the center diamond I chose is an ‘I’ in color grade. What do you think of this combination? Will this be ok? Here are the two links below for the diamond and setting, both from Whiteflash:

Please let me know what you think of my selection and if you have any other recommendations, please let me know!

Thanks!

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

The 1.357ct I VS2 is a very nice stone that will look beautiful with your Tacori engagement ring setting. Generally, you are safe to go 2-3 color grades without being able to detect any difference in color from center-stone diamond and the pave set diamonds in the setting.

If you were a bit nervous about this then here is an equally beautiful 1.208ct G VS1 for $10,359.00: https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2645116.htm

Advantage with this 1.208ct is 2 color grades and one clarity grade increase for $800 more. Size difference is negligible (1.357ct measures 7.12×7.14×4.37 and 1.208ct measures 6.84×6.85×4.20)

I think either stone will look fantastic. Please let me know what you decide.

Have a great weekend.

Kind Regards,

Liz

Hi Liz,

Thank you for the quick feedback. I think I’m going to go with the larger 1.35ct I VS2 since I was originally looking at 1.50ct in size. I appreciate your help.
