I’m looking for a diamond engagement ring for a solitaire setting:
– around 1.1ct (if it’s closer to 1 carat, I’d probably rather spend less on a 0.9 carat, so I’m trying to jump up in size enough to validate the cost jump)
– G, H, or I color
– VS2 or eye clean SI1
My budget is around $7000-$8000 for the diamond. I’m looking for the best cut that I can get (preferably hearts and arrow ideal cut diamond). I’ve been checking out BGD, but I’m also open to an Expert Cut if it will not look noticeably less brilliant. Would prefer no fluorescence.
Thank you for your help and for all the great guidance on your site!
Thanks for letting me know your diamond budget and requirements. I’ve had a look online and found the following suitable diamonds for you:
.912ct H VS1 for $7,101.00: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/0.912-h-vs1-round-diamond-ags-104074030008
This is a gorgeous super-ideal cut diamond with perfect optical symmetry (heart and arrows contrast) that is under budget and will still give you a great face-up size in carat weight. No blue fluorescence and perfect eye-clean. Overall a very beautiful diamond.
1.11ct I VVS2 for $6,920.00: https://enchanteddiamonds.com/diamonds/view/Round/GIA-Certified-1,11-Carat-I-Color-VVS2-Clarity-Diamond-7CHUJL
Gorgeous GIA triple excellent that also falls within AGS ideal cut porportions. It is larger and also under budget. The VVS2 clarity grade is of course perfectly eye-clean.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you very much for following up!
I really like being able to see the H&A and ASET on the first diamond that you sent. If I can raise my budget to up to $9,000 do you have any other recommendations closer to the 1.15ct range?
Here is a gorgeous 1.210ct I VS2 for $9,058.85 from Victor Canera: https://www.victorcanera.com/diamonds/utx3pa-1.210-i-vs2-ideal-hearts-arrows-round
Let me know what you think.
Thanks so much for the recommendation! I see that they also provide ASET and H&A images, which is great. Looks perfect.
