Hi Steve,

I don’t recommend that cushion. The girdle is thick to extremely thick which means that much of the carat weight is held in the girdle. It will face up small because of this. I also do not like the cut; it has a crushed ice appearance.

3.11ct H VS1 cushion cut diamond from James Allen on left and 3.20ct H VS1 from Enchanted Diamonds on right. Notice how the diamond on the left has a chaotic appearance with no discernible symmetry whereas in direct contrast the 3.20ct on the right is very uniform in appearance and contrast pattern. The cushion on the right appears whiter and brighter and larger in appearance due to more direct light reflection and symmetrical contrast.
