Ritani Engagement Ring for $8K

“…Fed Up With All The Misleading Advice…As Well As Ridiculous Prices!”

Q:

Hey Liz,

I have spent a good amount of time looking at loose diamonds at a local Jared Jewelers including a few other retail/mall locations in WA and I’m pretty fed up with all the misleading advice – in general as well as ridiculous prices! I have spent a bit of time on Blue Nile but I have simply lacked the confidence to buy online. I have a few jewelers keeping an eye out for discounted/previously owned diamonds but they are few and far between, from what I am being told. So after spending a few hours on your sight I have a new level of excitement and I am very interested in getting your advice and help! I love to learn and I know that will never end so I am ready to give it a go!

I’m shooting for around 8k for the center stone give or take a bit more if it is to good to pass up.

I want a round diamond and I do like the hearts and arrows cut, thanks to you 😉

Color range – G-I maybe up to J but that “J” just seems a bit warm to me for an intended white gold setting.

Clarity – VS1/2 – I1

Carat weight – .95 – 1.45 – leaning more around 1.3ct-ish but not real sure, of course I’d like the biggest possible or most possible for the money.

On the setting I’m shooting for is a split shank halo design, or just a halo design in general. I have found a few from Ritani that are top pics:

First favorite (by far) this setting really stood out!: http://www.ritani.com/engagement-rings/vintage-halo-diamond-engagement-ring-with-surprise-diamonds-in-platinum/4956

Second favorite: http://www.ritani.com/engagement-rings/french-set-halo-diamond–v–band-engagement-ring-in-platinum/4968

Close second: http://www.ritani.com/engagement-rings/french-set-halo-diamond-band-engagement-ring-in-platinum/4975

How best to pair these settings with a great diamond?

Other thoughts or concerns?

Found A Ritani Engagement Ring That I Like – How Best To Pair It With A Great Diamond?

A:

Hello Nathan,

I like your first ring from Ritani! http://www.ritani.com/engagement-rings/vintage-halo-diamond-engagement-ring-with-surprise-diamonds-in-platinum/4956

I recommend this 1.20ct I VS2 for $7,386.00: http://www.ritani.com/diamonds/round-diamond-1-20-Carat-I-color-AGSL-certified/D-MYSPP3, and I think it will look great with your halo setting. The diamonds set in the setting are all H VS2’s so your I color center stone would match perfectly fine. Also, this 1.20ct measures a nice 6.82×6.84mm, which is a nice size. The cut is triple 0 ideal from AGS (ideal light performance, ideal polish and symmetry) which ensures gorgeous light performance. Finally as a VS2 clarity grade diamond, it does show some clouds and a tiny crystal on the plotting chart – so should be eye-clean. I would ask Ritani to post actual magnified images of this diamond just to be 100% sure.

Ritani 1.20ct I VS2

Beautiful 1.20ct I VS2 diamond from Ritani. AGS graded triple 0 ideal (ideal light performance, ideal polish and ideal symmetry).

Let me know what you think and if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,

Liz

Q:

Hey Liz,

I asked for the image online however when I went back to see the diamond (for the second time) it said it was reserved, so I called Ritani and the gal Marine said that she had JUST reserved it as an option for another client but she said that individual is looking at many others so if I want to buy it she could probably swing it. She says I should be getting the magnified image by end of day.

This diamond you found seems to be an incredible find, like it is almost $1.5k -$2k under comparable diamonds on there’s or any others sites!

Hi Nathan,

I see that Ritani uploaded an HD video of your 1.208ct I VS2: http://www.ritani.com/diamonds/round-diamond-1-20-Carat-I-color-AGSL-certified/D-MYSPP3

I’ve taken a close look at it and it looks great. No visible inclusions – it is eye-clean. It’s great – go for it!

Please keep in touch and let me know how everything turns out. Since you are ordering such a beautiful ring, I’d love to see how it looks when it is all finished.

Let me know if you have anymore last minute questions!!!

Take care,

Liz
